Integration of Ayurveda in the Healthcare Establishments of the Armed Forces

Ayurveda clinics have been established in Command Hospital Eastern Command as part of initiative from the O/o DGAFMS under directions from MoHFW and Ministry of Ayush. The Defence Secretary is personally monitoring the implementation of Ayurveda facilities at the earmarked AFMS Hospitals.

The Ayurveda clinic at CHEC was inaugurated by Mrs Nisha Kalita, Regional President AWWA (Eastern Command) on 08 June 22 at CHEC. Dr Suparna Saha, an Ayurvedic Specialist has been detailed by Ministry of Ayush. The clinic is aimed to provide Ayurvedic services to dependents of serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families who volunteer for the treatment and are not on allopathic treatment. The clinic is functioning from Mon to Saturday frm 0830h to 1430h at second floor of Fever clinic/Community clinic.
