Northeastern States of India celebrates World Adivasi Day today, honors the struggle over the years

The Northeastern state of India along with other regions celebrate World Adivasi Day today with festivity. The voluntary spirit in observance of International Day of the World’s Indigenous People is laudable.

It is an otherwise pledge to work to achieve legitimate rights of the tribal people. There has been wishes and greetings pouring in since morning with reference to the special occasion, both online and offline as well.

“The International Day of the World’s Indigenous People is celebrated on August 9th every year. Tribal Army unites in support of the protection and promotion of the rights of all Indigenous Adivasi peoples and together with our First Nations People.”, reads a tweet by Tribal Army, that provides a platform to challenge the generational neglect towards indigenous people of India.

“My best wishes to all Indigenous/Adivasi communities who have preserved their cultural heritage since centuries.”, reads a tweet by Manipur Congress leader SS Kim today morning, adding, “Our communities play a crucial role in the preservation & transmission of ancestral knowledge.”

“On this World Tribal Day, let’s us foster to harbour a more inclusive environment for the growth of the most vulnerable sections of the society. The tribals of Manipur are an inevitable part of our history and maintaining harmony among all communities remain our top priority.”, reads a tweet by Manipur CM N Biren Singh.
