On 10th August, 2022, the Frontier Headquarters South Bengal BSF organized BAWA (BSF Wives Welfare Association) celebrations at Digberia. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Shail Bala Tete, Vice President of BAWA by lighting a lamp. This programme was organized in the celebration of Krishna Janmashtami and Aajadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Various types of programme were organized. In which mainly patriotic music, drama and dance apart from this young children performed many arts.
The Vice President gave a message to all the audiance that on this Independence Day, 75 years of independence of the country would be completed and he also requested everyone to hoist the Tiranga at every home. The main objective of this programme was to make people aware about the Aajadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative of under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to celebrate 75 years of independence and to celebrate its glorious history, culture and achievements.
At the end, gifts were distributed to the artists and children who performed in the programme. Apart from this umbrellas and the Tiranga flags were distributed to the people present there.
