The largest democracy in the world, India will celebrate 75 years of its Independence on 15th of August, 2022. This day marks the historic occasion when the country finally broke the shackles of oppression and gained independence from the British empire in the year 1947.
As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration Indian Army today conducted a ‘Cycling for Fun’ cycle rally. It was flagged off by Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita, GOC, Eastern Command from Fort William Kolkata.
The theme was ‘Resolution to uphold and celebrate freedom’. It was attended by 500 participants including Soldiers and their family members. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation with tremendous patriotic fervour.
