On 18th August 2022, alert jawans of 82 Battalion of Border Security Force, Hridaypur, acting on the basis of reliable information, took one person into custody while crossing the international Border illegally. Apprehended person identified as Liaquat Ali (18) Bangladesh.
On preliminary enquiry, Liaquat Ali revealed that he was coming to India illegally in search of work along with his 02 friends. His 02 friends ran back towards Bangladesh but he was apprehended by BSF. The apprehended person was handed over to the BGB out of humanity and goodwill.
Shri Sanjay Prasad Singh, 82 Battalion Commanding Officer stated that Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along Indo-Bangladesh Border due to which some people are being apprehended. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the captured people and due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are handed over to each other.
