On 19th August, 2022 at about 0305 hrs, alert troops of Border Out Post Sunder, 08 Battalion of Border Security Force, acting on the basis of reliable information, 03 persons of Bangladesh took into custody while crossing the international Border illegally. They were identified as Barkat Ali (26), Rubina Begum (22) and Abida Sheikh (26), Bangladesh.
On preliminary enquiry, Barkat Ali revealed that he had come to India with his wife and sister-in-law a month ago and they used to work in Navi Mumbai. He further revealed that they were returning to Bangladesh today. But they all were apprehended by BSF. The apprehended persons were handed over to the BGB as a gesture of humanity and goodwill.
Shri Madhusudan Rao, 08 Battalion Commanding Officer stated that Border Security Force is taking strict action to prevent infiltration along Indo-Bangladesh Border. Due to which some people are being apprehended. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are handed over to each other.
