On 22nd August, 2022 at 0215 hrs, acting on the basis of reliable information, alert jawans of Border Out Post Jeetpur, 68 Battalion of Border Security Force, took 01 person into custody while crossing the international Border illegally. He was identified as Nathi Chandra Das (66), Bangladesh.
On preliminary enquiry, Nathi Chandra Das revealed that he had come to India four months ago and used to work as a mason in Bangalore. He further revealed that he was returning back to Bangladesh today. But he was apprehended by BSF. The apprehended person was handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh out of humanity and goodwill.
Shri Om Prakash Sharma, Commanding Officer of 68 Battalion stated that Border Security Force is taking strict action to prevent infiltration along Indo-Bangladesh Border due to which some people are being apprehended. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are handed over to each other.
