On 23rd August, 2022 at around 2345 hrs, acting on the basis of reliable information alert jawans of Border Out Post Jeetpur of 68 Battalion of Border Security Force, apprehended 03 Bangladeshi women while crossing the international Border illegally. They were identified as Nathi Hasina Begum (45), Fatima Begum (30) and Zareen Islam, Bangladesh.
During interrogation, they revealed that they all belong to poor family and were coming to India to earn money but were apprehended by BSF as soon as they crossed the Border. All the apprehended women were handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh out of humanity and goodwill.
Shri Om Prakash Sharma, Commanding Officer of 68 Battalion stated that Border Security Force is taking strict action to prevent infiltration along Indo-Bangladesh Border due to which some people are being apprehended. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are handed over to each other.
