The incident took place on 26th August, 2022 at 0200 hrs, at village Dhakola falling under the area of 86 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier. When Aseem Mandal’s pregnant daughter Sushmita Mandal suddenly felt severe stomach ache at 2 am, the family members of the woman asked for help to the Company Commander of Border Out Post Dhakola. The company commander without delay sent a BSF ambulance along with a nursing assistant to Sushmita Mandal’s house. From there, the said woman was admitted to Karimpur Hospital for treatment. The condition of the woman is said to be fine now.
The family members of the woman expressed their gratitude to the Border Security Force and said that if the BSF jawans had not helped at the right time, then something big could have happened.
Shri Surendra Kumar, Commanding Officer of 86 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force always works on the Border with a vigilance and is always ready to help the people living on the Border. Due to which there is a cordial relationship between the Border Security Force and the Border residents.
