BSF ORGANIZES VARIOUS PROGRAMMES ON THE OCCASION OF TEACHER’S DAY


On 2nd September, 2022 at 1030 hrs South Bengal Frontier organized a series of programmes under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. In which weapons exhibition, brass bands and colorful programmes were organised in 146 schools in 05 districts of West Bengal in the Border area. In Kolkata, main programmes were organised at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Salt Lake, Hariyana Vidya Mandir, Salt Lake and Lady Queen of the Missions school, Salt Lake.

The main objective of this programme is to create awareness about career opportunities in BSF and other Armed Forces. Through these programme we are motivating students to join BSF, CAPF and Armed Forces of union of India. We are making them aware about the process to join these Forces at various level, how to prepare and what are the eligibilities for joining Arm Forces. Troops of Border Security Force are visiting 146 schools across 05 districts of West Bengal to celebrate Teacher’s Day jointly with school students and teachers to create awareness about BSF. On this occasion, cultural programme, volleyball, football, free coaching classes, band displays, weapons exhibition were organized in these schools.

Dr. Atul Fulzele, (IPS) Inspector General of South Bengal Frontier, inaugurated the programmes at 1030 hrs. Senior officers and troops of Border Security Force participated the events on a very large scale.

School children and their guardian witnessed the events and appreciated the performance of Brass Band and Weapons Exhibition with national fervour. They further said that such programmes inculcate the nationalistic feeling of pride and population come to know about the first line of defence i.e. BSF closely.
