BSF Meghalaya Frontier celebrates “Run Up to Teachers’ Day

Border Security Force Meghalaya Frontier today celebrated the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the run up to Teachers’ Day and visited 65 Schools in border areas and hinterland and carried out a slew of activities.

IG, BSF Meghalaya Frontier, Shri Inderjit Singh Rana congratulated the teachers’ fraternity and emphasized that they are the guiding light for the youths who would tomorrow become the pillars of the nation.   

With the aim of bringing more youths under BSF’s fold, pamphlets on recruitment process for the ranks of Constable, Assistant Sub-Inspector, and Sub-inspector & Assistant commandant were also distributed among the students to create awareness.

BSF Officers and Jawans also delivered inspirational lectures against drugs and social abuses. Weapon exhibitions were also held at various schools throughout the State. BSF aims to encourage the young minds and infuse values of patriotism, national integration in them and encourage them to contribute towards the overall development of one Nation and border areas.

The programs conducted are expected to enhance patriotic fervor, national integration and mainstreaming of the future generation to align them as responsible and productive citizens.
