BORDER SECURITY FORCE’S MOTORCYCLE RALLY WAS WARMLY WELCOMED IN MALDA TODAY

(District-Malda)


This year, on 15th August, 2022, the country celebrated the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, completing 75 years of independence. The Border Security Force is organizing a motorcycle rally along the Border in a series of programmes to mark the occasion.

30 motorcycle riders (15 men from the Jambaaz motorcycle team and 15 women riders from the Bhavani motorcycle team) are participating in this rally. This Motorcycle rally will complete its journey in 15 days. This rally will cover 07 states of the country namely Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The rally will start from Shillong and travel to Delhi via Guwahati, Dhubri, Siliguri, Malda, Krishnanagar, Kolkata, Durgapur, Hazaribagh, Varanasi and Agra.

Dr. Lajja Ram Bishnoi IPS, DGP Meghalaya flagged off this motorcycle rally from BSF Sector Headquarters Shillong on 01st September, 2022 in the presence of Shri Inderjit Rana, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters Meghalaya along with senior officers of the force and hundreds of local people.

On 04th September, 2022, at 1830 hrs, the motorcycle rally was received at the BSF Sector Headquarters Malda. People called the rally very interesting and inquired about it in detail. After this, today at 0930 hrs Shri Sudhir Hooda, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Headquarters Malda flagged off this rally for the next destination.

The main objective of this rally was to make people aware about the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative to celebrate 75 years of independence and to celebrate its glorious history, culture and achievements. This motorcycle rally will show short film on BSF, awareness on drugs, smuggling and various programmes for youth to join Border Security Force and other forces. Interacting with the school children and youth of the country, the rally will also raise awareness about the role and functions of the Border Security Force which is the largest Border guarding force in the world.
