The incident took place on 04th September, 2022 at 0300 hrs, in village Shikarpur falling under the area of 86 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier. When a pregnant woman named Sajda Khatoon suddenly suffered labour pain, the family members of the woman sought help from the company commander of Border Out Post Shikarpur. The company commander without delay sent a BSF ambulance along with a nursing assistant to Sajda Khatoon’s house. From there, the said woman was admitted to Karimpur Hospital for treatment. The woman gave birth to a baby girl. The condition of mother and baby is said to be fine.
On the other hand, another incident happened on September 03rd, 2022 at 1400 hrs, in the village Mahadipur falling under the area of 70 Battalion. When a pregnant woman named Mohmaya Ghosh suddenly had a labour pain. The family members of the woman sought help from the Company Commander of Border Out Post Mahadipur. The company commander without delay sent a BSF ambulance along with a nursing assistant to Mohmaya Ghosh’s house. From there, the said woman was admitted to the Medical College and Hospital, Malda for treatment. The condition of the woman is said to be fine now.
The families of both the women who suffered from labour pain expressed their gratitude to the Border Security Force and said that if the BSF jawans had not helped at the right time, then something big could have happened.
Spokesperson of South Bengal Frontier stated that the Border Security Force always works on the Border with utmost vigilance and is always ready to help the people living on the Border. Due to which there is a cordial relationship between the Border Security Force and the Border residents.
