BSF-BGB plays friendly volleyball match as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

The Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today played a friendly volleyball match in South Garo Hills District, Meghalaya to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The Maitri Volleyball match was organized near BSF outpost Bahadur, 28 Bn BS to foster friendly relations between both the border guarding forces of the two neighboring countries. 

Amidst cheers and applause from supporters of both the teams, the BGB team conceded the match to the BSF team by 0-3. Around 500 locals from the border area participated and cheered from both the teams. The locals expressed their joy and appreciated both BSF and BGB for creating such a pleasant and cordial atmosphere on the international border, which will go a long way in creating a friendly atmosphere amongst the border population.


IG BSF Meghalaya, Shri Inderjit Singh Rana said that the objective behind holding such friendly matches is to infuse a sense of patriotism and national integration in the minds of the youths and also to enhance the already existing peaceful and friendly atmosphere between the BSF and BGB”.
