BSF APPREHENDED 01 BANGLADESHI NATIONAL ON THE BORDER, HANDED OVER TO BGB AS A GESTURE OF HUMANITY AND GOODWILL.

On 10 September 2022, at about 1300 hrs, alert BSF troops of Border Out Post Ghojadanga, 153 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier detained 01 Bangladeshi national from their responsibility area while crossing the International Boundary illegally. He was identified as Kartik Das (37 yrs), S/o- Haripodo Das, Vill- Balitha Daspara, PO- Ellarchar, PS & Dist- Satkhira, Bangladesh.

During interrogation, Kartik Das stated that he works as a barber at Balitha Market, Bangladesh. Today he was invertently entered into the Indian territory while he was roaming at Bhomra market to purchase plywood for his house. He further revealed that he has no any illegal intention behind the movement.

The apprehended person was handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh out of humanity and goodwill.

Shri Abdul Hanan Khan, Officiating Commanding Officer of 153 Battalion stated that Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along Indo-Bangladesh Border due to which some people are being apprehended. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of the two countries, some of them are handed over to each other.
