The Border Security Force organizes various programmes from time to time to aware about the army and security forces for the youth along with guarding the international border. In this connection, the Border Out Post Mahendra of 08 Battalion, under the South Bengal Frontier, organized an exhibition of weapons at Government Higher Secondary School, Fatehpur on 18th September, 2022 from 1000 to 1300 hrs. Along with this a cultural programme was also presented by the students of the school.
About 375 people, including the chairman of the Hanskhali Panchayat Samiti, members of the Panchayat Samiti, school teachers, students and villagers, participated in this exhibition. The people present there appreciated to the BSF for this initiative.
The Commanding Officer of the 08 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force organises various programmes for Border’s students from time to time such as recruitment in the Indian Security Forces, physical training, information about the recruitment process, classes for written examination, computer access, knowledge of weapons. So that the students of the Border area continue to get its benefit.
