A Joint Armed Excise raid was conducted on Monday by the Digboi & Margherita Excise team in co-operation with the Pengaree Police Station in Gurungbasti and surrounding areas of Pengeree Tea Estate under Margherita sub division of Tinsukia district.
Total 4 cases were detected and around 500 litres of fermented wash, 20 litres of Illicit distilled liquor, 5kgs of starter Cake and 2 sets of distillating apparatus were seized and destroyed in the exercise.
