BSF SAVED A VILLAGER’S HOUSE FROM FIRE NEAR THE BORDER, COULD HAVE BEEN A BIG ACCIDENT

The Border Security Force is always ready to help the Border residents along the borders of the country. A similar precedent has been set by the 35 Battalion of the South Bengal Frontier, deployed on the Indo-Bangladesh Border in Murshidabad district.

On 20th September, 2022, at around 1205 in the afternoon, a sudden fire broke out in the house of Nizamuddin, resident of Lavangola and on seeing the fire took a formidable form and within a short time the fire engulfed the entire house. The jute crop kept near by house was also destroyed. When the company commander of Border Out Post Lavangola got the news of the fire, he immediately reached at Nizamuddin’s house along with the troops and fire extinguishers. After some time troops controlled over the fire. There was no casualty in the incident, but the household items and the jute kept nearby were burnt to ashes.

The young man expressed his gratitude towards the BSF.
Nizamuddin thanked the Border Security Force for this humanitarian act and said that if the BSF did not help at the right time, the fire could have spread far and could have caused a major accident.

The Commanding Officer of the 35 Battalion expressed happiness over this commendable work of the jawans and stated that the Border Security Force, along with curbing the crimes on the Border, stays with the Border residents in every happiness and sorrow, which makes cordial relationship between the Border Security Force and the general public.
