On 22nd September, 2022, at 1100 hrs, BWWA (BSF Wives Welfare Association) ceremony was held at Digberia, the headquarters of the 85 Battalion, under the South Bengal Frontier. Mrs. Alka Tyagi, Chief Guest and Editorial Member of BWWA inaugurated the programme. Various cultural programmes were organized on this occasion. In which mainly programmes like music ceremony, dance and quiz competition etc. were organized.
The aim of BWWA is all round development of all the members of the prahari family. Creating a cordial environment while living in the headquarters premises, being health conscious, taking care of cleanliness in one’s own residence and premises, being committed to good education for the children and all-round development of their personality directly and indirectly strengthens this institution. Therefore, understanding the important role of these subjects in practical life, the members of BWWA at every level should make concerted efforts.
In the end, she along with all his members distributed prizes to all the 17 brave widows, artists, and organisers who came here. She further stated that in future also BWWA’s programmes will continue to be held every year.
