The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) is organising a two day photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and 8 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan at the Central Jail in Guwahati on 24th and 25th September, 2022.
For the first time, an exhibition in Jail premises is being held by the Guwahati Regional office of CBC.
The exhibition will showcase photo panels on Unsung heroes of the Indian freedom movement from the Northeast. It will also display schemes and initiatives of the Government in the last 8 years for the public.
Art and music competition among the inmates will be organised as part of the exhibition. Cultural performance by the departmental artistes and Private Registered Troupes of CBC, Guwahati will also be held during the two days of the event.
The DIG, Prisons headquarters, Shri Dilip Saikia will attend the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest.
