AS A GESTURE OF HUMANITY AND GOODWILL, BSF HANDED OVER 02 BANGLADESHI NATIONALS TO BGB, APPREHENDED ON THE BORDER

On the midnight of 23rd September, 2022, alert troops of Border Out Post Jeetpur, 68 Battalion, under South Bengal Frontier apprehended 02 Bangladeshi women who were illegally crossing the Border from India to Bangladesh. They were identified as Sabana Begum (40) and Rehana Khatoon (30), Bangladesh.

During interrogation, both revealed that they had come to India 06 months ago and used to work in Bangalore. Today both of them were going back to Bangladesh but while crossing the Border, BSF troops apprehended them.

The apprehended Bangladeshi women were handed over to the BGB as a humanitarian and goodwill gesture.

The Commanding Officer of the 68 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and to maintain the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border guarding force of both the countries, some innocent Bangladeshis are handed over to the BGB safely.
