On Saturday afternoon hours Margherita excise circle along with the assistance from the Jagun Outpost Police Force conducted an armed excise raid in Jagun and Hamukjaan areas under Margherita sub division of Tinsukia district where a naka checking at Namphai near Assam Arunachal Pradesh border was conducted under the supervision of Prasanta Dutta, Deputy superintendent of excise Margherita.
During the raid two cases were detected and approximately 280 litres of fermented wash and 10 litres of illicit distilled liquor were seized and destroyed during operation.
