BSF Inter Frontier Yoga Competition- 2022 was organized by Mizoram and Cachar Frontier, BSF Masimpur, Silchar at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar from 26 to 29 Sept’ 2022. In this competition, 186 men & 113 women participants of BSF representing 11 different BSF Frontiers from all over India participated. Variety of events such as Yogasana, Artistic Single Yoga, Artistic Pair Yoga, Rhythmic Yoga and Free flow Yoga dance were performed by them.
In overall result of the Yoga competition, Gujrat Frontier bagged the first position, second position by Jammu Frontier and third position by Punjab Frontier. Medals were also given in individual categories of men and women during the events.
Prof. Sivaji Bandyopadhyay, Director, NIT Silchar graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed the Trophies to the winner and runners up teams in presence of Sh Binay Kumar Jha, IG BSF, Mizoram and Cachar Frontier. Chief Guest conveyed his appreciation and best wishes to all participants. Closing ceremony was organised with cultural programmes, Yoga demo by men and women Yoga teams and with an impressive march past by all the Frontier teams.
Sh Binay Kumar Jha, IG BSF expressed his gratitude and thanks to the Director, NIT Silchar for providing venue and all administrative support to make this event highly successful. He also emphasized that Yoga should be made part of our daily routine for well-being and healthy life of our Jawans.
