On 1st October’ 2022 at around 2030 hrs, troops of Border Out Post Jeetpur, 68 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier apprehended 01 Bangladeshi national while illegally crossing the International Border. The apprehended person was identified as Pradoot Kumar Rai (30), Bangladesh.
During interrogation, Pradoot Kumar Rai revealed that he had gone to Italy on VISA 10 years ago and from there came to India illegally via Nepal and today was going to Bangladesh. But BSF troops apprehended him on the Border.
The apprehended Bangladeshi national was handed over to the BGB as a gesture of humanity and goodwill.
The Commanding Officer of the 68 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and to maintain the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Force of both the countries, some innocent Bangladeshis are handed over to the BGB safely.
