RPF of N. F. Railway apprehended six Bangladeshi Rescued 12 minors and one lady during last week

Continuing the fight to detect illegal migrants, rohingyas and against human trafficking, unauthorized hawking, begging etc., the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway has apprehended six Bangladeshi and rescued 12 minor boys/girls and one lady from different stations in different drives and checks conducted during 30th September to 06thOctober, 2022 over N. F. Railway.

In an incident on 04th October, 2022, RPF team of Badarpur conducted a routine check at Bihara Railway station. While checking they detected 06 Bangladeshi (04 male & 02 female). On interrogation they could not produce and valid documents and later confessed that they entered India illegally. Later all the 06 Bangladeshi were apprehended and brought to RPF/Post/Badarpur and handed over to Officer In-charge/Government Railway Police/Badarpur for further legal action.

Between, 30th September and 06th October, 2022 RPF of N. F. Railway also rescued 12 minors and one lady during different checks and drives conducted at Badarpur, Kumarghat, Dimapur, Katihar and Hasimara stations over N.F. Railway.

RPF staff deployed at stations and trains are very vigilant against illegal migrants, rohingyas and suspected persons involved in human trafficking. They keep a close eye on movement of children in a suspicious manner, travelling alone, without proper guardian etc
