Sleuths of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption department on Friday raided the residence of Dibrugarh DTO Sanjib Hazarika and seized cash amounting to Rs 7,03,800. Apart from that an amount of Rs 87,000 demonetized notes was also recovered by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption team.
Earlier a junior assistant of the Dibrugarh District Transport Office Ditimoni Gogoi and a broker Pankaj Saikia was arrested by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption team. A huge amount of cash worth Rs 9.3 lakh was also recovered from Ditimoni Gogoi’s flat.
