On 01st November, 2022, troops of Border Out Post Ramnagar, 08 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, apprehended 01 Bangladeshi national while crossing the International Border illegally. The apprehended person was identified as Shaheen Khan, Bangladesh.
During interrogation, the Bangladeshi national revealed that he had come to India illegally 07 months ago for a job and was going back to Bangladesh today. But he was apprehended by BSF on the Border.
The apprehended Bangladeshi national was handed over to the BGB as a gesture of humanity and goodwill.
The Commanding Officer of the 08 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the arrested people and to maintain the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Force of both the countries, some innocent Bangladeshis are handed over to the BGB safely.
