NOIC (WBG) and Commanding Officer #INSNetajiSubhas flagged off an AKAM Motorbike Expedition from Kolkata, West Bengal to INS Chilka, Odisha and back, early morning on 15 Nov 22.
A team of 16 Navy Personnel, comprising officers, sailors and defence civilians would drive a total distance of 1500 km from 15 to 18 Nov 22.
The expedition is being conducted by Machinery Trials Unit (Kolkata) with the support of Royal Enfield and Indian Oil Corporation.
The IN Team would also be visiting Calcutta Institute of Technology, Howrah, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and College of Engineering, Bhubaneshwar and College of Engineering and Technology, Balasore enroute where the Team Members would interact with Students and deliver Motivation Talks on ‘Career Prospects in the Indian Navy’.
The Motorbike Expedition aims to enhance the connect between the Indian Navy and the youth of the two States in the 75th year of India’s Independence.
