BSF is organising a Cycle Rally on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The rally started from Agartala on 01st November, 2022 and will reach Kolkata on 11th December, 2022 by covering a distance of 2350 kilometres.
On 05th December 2022 the cycle rally covered a distance of 1900 kms and reached at 86 Battalion HQrs, Roshanbagh under South Bengal Frontier. Shri Avnish Ranjan commanding officer of Sector Baharampur and Shri Santosh Kumar commanding officer of 86 Battalion along with the officers and jawans of the force welcomed the cycle rally warmly.
The Commanding Officer of 86 Battalion states that the main objective of this rally is to create a sense of patriotism in the hearts of the people living in the border areas, to create a good image of the Border Security Force and to motivate more and more youth to join BSF. He further stated that such programs give a message to the youth not to indulge in smuggling and other anti-social activities and to create a bright future for them.
