The cycle rally which started from Agartala (Tripura) on 01st November, 2022 entered the District North 24 Parganas on the evening of 08th December, 2022 via the Border area of District Nadia. BSF is organising a Cycle Rally on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India’s independence, the rally is moving towards Kolkata passing through the border areas of the four states along with Bangladesh.
Sanjay Kumar DIG, HQrs Krishnanagar, officers of the force, jawans and school students welcomed the participants of the cycle rally by garlanding them at Border Out Post Duttapulia, 08 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier.
After lunch all the rally participants were ready to move towards their destination. After this Sanjay Kumar, DIG flagged off the rally.
Sanjay Kumar, DIG states that the main objective of this rally is to give a message to the youth living in the Border areas not to indulge in smuggling and other anti-social activities and to improve their bright future. Apart from this, the youth have to be motivated to join the Arms Force. Further, he stated that through this rally, the feeling of patriotism has to be strengthened in the public.
