Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on the basis of the Principle of Multipurpose Cooperative Societies of the Government of India has called upon every MLA’s to complete farming on land lying unaccounted for use in every Assembly constituency and engage the unemployed youth.
On this occasion a multipurpose cooperative society consisting of 100 educated and unemployed youth of 124 no. Margherita Constituency has been constituted for cultivation and agricultural purpose of 550 bighas of unaccounted land lying unused situated at Namdang gaon, Bargolai under Margherita Constituency of Tinsukia district since many years where under the supervision and guidance of 124 no. Margherita Constituency MLA Bhaskar Sharma the tough task has been made possible said a local youth of this area.
On Saturday Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma visited this project called Bhaskar Uday Krishi Pam set up at Namdang gaon, Bargolai and took stock of the products produced and highly appreciated all the 100 youths and local people of this area for making the land in agriculture and cultivation purpose.
Sunil Gurung vice president of Bhaskar Uday Krishi Pam said that our country is an agriculture based country where since many months I myself along with 100 youths consisting of this farm and local people of this area with utmost hardwork has transformed this land in agriculture and cultivation purpose so that unemployed youths of Margherita sub division can earn their livelihood.
We have cultivated vegetables like brinjal, tomato,pumpkin, potato, pulses, cauliflower, cabbage, coriander, beans along with goat and cows are tamed for dairy products said Sunil Gurung.
Nishith Ranjan Choudhary ward member of Makum pather Gaon panchayat said that under the supervision of 124 no.Margherita Constituency MLA Bhaskar Sharma many development work were done and Bhaskar Uday Krishi Pam is a green revolution for unemployed youths as through cultivation and agriculture unemployment can be little bit eradicate from our society and nation.
