On 11th December’ 2022, alert troops of Border Out Post Sutiya 107 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier foiled smuggling attempts and seized 12 Kgs of Ganja from their area of responsibility. Smugglers were trying to take this Ganja from India to Bangladesh.
In another incident, alert jawans of Border Out Post B R C Pur 86 Battalion recovered 3.250 Kgs of Ganja from their area of responsibility.
The seized items were handed over to Police Station Bangaon and Murutia respectively for further legal action.
Spokesperson of the South Bengal Frontier stated that smugglers try to smuggle in different ways to make their plans successful. But due to the intelligence and alertness of the troops of the Border Security Force, they could not get success.
