On 12th December’ 2022, troops of Border Out Post Boltala, 118 Battalion deployed on the Border under South Bengal Frontier, seized 140 bottles of Phensedyl and medicine of different companies from their area.
In other incidents, jawans of Border Out Post Hakimpur, 112 Battalion, Border Out Post Sasani, 70 Battalion seized a total of 149 bottles of Phensedyl from their area of ​​responsibility. The estimated value of all the seized Phensedyl bottles and medicine is 1,67,170/- rupees.
The seized items were handed over to Custom Office Hingalganj, Tentulia and Police Station Kaliachak respectively.
Spokesman of South Bengal Frontier stated that BSF jawans always perform their duty keeping vigil on the Border due to which smugglers do not get success in their ill-intentioned activities. He further stated that both the BSF and the local police are working together to apprehend the smugglers.
