Two major Railway project in the northeastern states of India Bhairabi – the Sairang Rail Line Project of Mizoram 82% and the Jiribam-Imphal Railway line project of Manipur 91.78% work in progress.
This project of national importance will provide seamless connectivity to Mizoram’s state capital, Aizawl (Sairang), with the rest of the country. Railway Ministry informed it on Twitter.
Mizoram’s capital Aizwal will become the fourth state capital in North-East to have a rail link.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Sairang-Bairabi broad gauge line in November 2014.
The Ministry of Railway also informed,” Jiribam-Imphal Project in Manipur has achieved physical progress of 91.78% works Completed till 30.11.22.

• Major Bridges – Substructure of 7 & Superstructure of 5 out of 11
• Minor Bridges – 110/129
• Stations – 6/11 constructed
