Defending champions Mohammedan Sporting Club will aim to execute their plans perfectly when they come up against Mohun Bagan in the final of the Byju’s Bengal Women’s T20 Blast to be played at the MGR Cricket Academy Ground, Suri, on Wednesday.
In the first semifinal on Tuesday, Md. Sporting defeated Kalighat Club by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Kalighat managed only 98/7 in 20 overs.
Priya Pandy was the star bowler for Md. Sporting claiming two crucial wickets.
In reply, Md. Sporting chased it down scoring 99/3 in 17.4 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 28 by Dipa Das.
In the day’s second semifinal, Mohun Bagan beat Gymkhana by 27 runs.
Batting first, Mohun Bagan posted 143/1 in 20 overs, courtesy of a fine unbeaten 66 by Dhara Gujjar. Samayita Adhikari (43) also chipped in with a handy knock.
In reply, Gymkhana managed only 116/7 in 20 overs.
Sandipta Patra impressed with three wickets for Mohun Bagan.
