The incident took place on 24th December, 2022 in the area of Border Out Post Shikarpur, 86 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier. Keshav Das Mahato resident of village Shikarpur was sitting in his house. Suddenly, he started having difficulty in breathing, then the relatives of patient informed the matter to company commander of Shikarpur Border Out Post. Without delay, the company commander sent a BSF ambulance along with a Nursing Assistant to the patient’s house. From there he was admitted to the Government Hospital, Karimpur.
The Commanding Officer of 86 Battalion patted BSF jawans and stated that along with the security of the International Border, the security of the people is also done with full dedication and responsibility by the BSF troops. In any untoward incident, the jawans stand shoulder to shoulder with the people.
