Eastern Air Command Winter Adventure Camp, under the aegis of Air Force Families Welfare Association (Regional) Eastern Air Command for children of serving personnel was conducted at Air Force Station Bagdogra from 02 Jan – 08 Jan 23.
Air Commodore Amiya Tripathy, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Bagdogra and Madhumita Tripathy, President Air Force Families Welfare Association (Local) declared the Winter Camp open on 03 Jan 2023.
An array of outdoor activities which included Power Hang Gliding, Parasailing, Tent Pitching, Jungle Survival, Zip Lining, Rope Cycling and Go Karting were undertaken for the children. Visits to North Bengal Science Centre, North Bengal Safari and Fulbari border post were also organized.
Aim of the camp was to develop qualities of discipline, commitment, teamwork and leadership amongst the participants. President Air Force Families Welfare Association (Local) felicitated the winners of various competitions and congratulated all the participants on their successful completion of the Winter Adventure Camp.
