On the occasion of 74th Republic Day celebrations at New Delhi, the NER Directorate NCC contingent representing NCC Boys and Girls cadets of the seven sister states of north east India, participated in the Republic Day Parade and PM’s Rally.
As a matter of pride for the state of Assam, out of 120 NCC cadets, maximum participation was from the NCC units of Assam. To commemorate the same, the Governor of Assam, Prof. Jagadish Mukhi felicitated these highly motivated NCC cadets at Raj Bhawan on 02 Feb 2023.
Assam Governor congratulated the NCC cadets on this memorable achievement and further motivated and inspired the cadets to continue to excel in their future. During the interaction with the cadets, the Governor also shared his experience as a NCC cadet and the role of NCC in nation building. Living upto its motto of “Unity and Discipline”, the Hon’ble Governor also wished to see more and more youth join NCC and live a disciplined life.
Present on the occasion were Major General Gagandeep, Additional Directorate General, NCC NE Region, Brigadier Dinar Dighe, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarter, Guwahati, Brigadier Rajiv Kapoor, SM, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarter Jorhat and other officials .
