World’s longest river cruise Ganga Vilas reached the waters of Bangladesh on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Ganga Vilas from Varanasi on January 13 .
Taking on Twitter Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Rejoicement across Borders! World’s longest river cruise MV #GangaVilas enters Bangladesh to a warm welcome as it continues its majestic journey from Varanasi to Dibrugarh.”

The cruise members will be welcomed by High Commissioner Pranay Verma on Saturday at Mongla.
The cruise will pass through places of historic importance in Bangladesh during its close.
It will travel around 3,200 km in 51 days to reach in Dibrugarh.
It will be visiting 50 tourist sites including World Heritage Sites, National Parks, River Ghats, and major cities of India and Bangladesh.
