Border Security Force organizes various programs from time to time to create awareness about the army and security forces among the youth living in the border area. In this connection, on 09 February 2023, 68 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier organized an arms exhibition and seminar on “Save Women and Safety” at Dr. BR Ambedkar Satbarshi Mahavidyalaya, Helencha, North 24 Parganas (West Bengal). About 1235 students and staff of other three schools including the principal and students of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College participated in this exhibition.
The teachers and students appreciated the proactive role of BSF and thanked them for conducting such activities to promote awareness among the students.
The Commanding Officer of 68 Battalion said that organizing such programs in the border area inculcates feeling of pride and nationalism among the young minds and awareness about security forces.
