Online Registration for recruitment into the Indian Army under the Agnipath Recruitment Scheme has commenced. The Registration period will continue till 15 March 2023 during which period eligible aspirants in various age groups can apply online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in for recruitment during the coming Recruiting year. A video explaining the process of registration & submission of application has also been hosted on the website.
Following a transformational change in the process of Recruitment, aspirants will initially appear for an online computer based Common Entrance Examination (CEE) following which they will be called to appear for their physical and medical tests. Aspirants will have to pay a fee of Rs 250/- for appearing in the Common Entrance Examination, which will be conducted from 17 April to 04 May 2023 at various centers across the state. To assist aspirants appearing for the online Computer Based Test, a practice test has also been made available on the website.
The Agnipath Scheme which was started in the year 2022 saw a large no of youth of Sikkim & North Bengal participate in rallies for recruitment as Agniveers. The first batch of selected candidates have already commenced training from 01 Jan 2023 onwards at various Army Training Centres while the Second batch of selected candidates is scheduled to undergo training from 01 March 2023.
