On 20th February 2023, a Civic Action Programme was organized by the Border Security Force (BSF) at Taki Municipality Auditorium, with the aim of promoting goodwill among the local population and encouraging a healthy and harmonious relationship between the BSF and civilians.The event was attended by Commanding officer of 85 Bn and other BSF officials. Several civil officials, including Chairman, Vice Chairman, Taki Municipality Corporation, SDPO Hasnabad, and Pradhan Sankhchura Panchayat, were also present.
Utilitarian items worth Rs 4.6 lakhs were distributed among the local villagers, including students and young sportsmen. These items included multimedia with a projector, sports items, household utensils, clothes, and other essential items.
Approximately 700 civilians, including children, school teachers, and other civil dignitaries, attended the programme. Beneficiaries were from the area of responsibility of BOP Sodepur, Soladana, and Golpara, under Dist. North 24 Parganas.The programme ended in a cordial atmosphere, with everyone expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made by the BSF in organizing the event.
The Civic Action Programme has been an initiative of the BSF, which aims to promote community development and enhance the quality of life of the local population. Such events provide an opportunity for the BSF to interact with civilians and understand their needs and aspirations, leading to a more harmonious and peaceful co-existence.
