(District- Nadia & North 24 Parganas)
In a heartwarming initiative, the Border Security Force (BSF) helped the daughters of two deceased individuals living in Bangladesh to see their fathers’ last glimpse. Jamsed Mandal and Ayub Hussain Mandal, residents of border villages in Nadia and North 24 Parganas districts respectively, approached the company commanders of their respective border outposts to make the request.
Considering the humanitarian and emotional aspect of the situation, the company commanders of Border Out Post Banpur 54 Battalion and Border Out Post Sutiya 107 Battalion took permission from their respective commanding officers and coordinated with the Border Guard Bangladesh. In the spirit of mutual cooperation, the border security forces of both countries made arrangements for the deceased’s daughters. The daughters were called to the Zero Line, and it was finally possible for them to see their father’s last glimpse.
The Public Relations Officer of the South Bengal Frontier BSF emphasized that the BSF jawans deployed on the border perform their duty with unwavering dedication. Along with ensuring the security of the country, BSF troops support border residents in times of happiness and sorrow. The jawans uphold the social values of the border population and prioritize humanity and human values.
