On February 22, 2023, the Company Commander of Ranghat, the Border Post of 68 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, was informed by the villagers that Pranjit Santra, the son of Rakei Santra, suddenly fell ill and was in a state of unconsciousness.
In view of the humanitarian aspect of the situation, the Company Commander of Border Out Post Ranghat immediately dispatched a BSF ambulance to the child’s house without delay. The child was quickly taken to the government hospital in Baghdah.
Because of the timely and efficient response of the BSF, the child’s condition was stabilized and he is now out of danger. The BSF has once again demonstrated its commitment to serving the people living on the border with cooperation, vigilance, and humanity.
The Commanding Officer of 68 Battalion has praised the BSF troops for their quick and decisive action, stating that the Border Security Force is always ready to help the people living on the border. This has fostered a good relationship and cooperation between the Border Security Force and the residents of the border region.
