The incident took place on February 25, 2023, at village Tilasan, which falls in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of Border Out Post Anuradhapura, 44 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier. Madhusudan Rai of the village was working in his field with a tractor when he suddenly got injured in the leg. The village member informed the Company Commander of the Border Out Post, who immediately sent a BSF ambulance along with a nursing assistant to the spot. Without delay, the injured person was given first aid, and then he was taken to the Bulbulchandi Hospital and admitted there. The patient’s condition is now stable.
The guardian of the injured person appreciated the BSF jawans, saying that if they had not helped at the right time, the injured person could have lost a lot of blood.
The Commanding Officer of the 44 Battalion stated that BSF jawans protect the country by standing on the border, regardless of sun, storm, and rain. He also said that the jawans stand shoulder to shoulder with the Border people in happiness and sorrow, which has a positive effect on the Border residents.
