On February 27, 2023, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, troops of Border Out Post Bistoganj, 84 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier organized a free medical camp to improve the health of people living on the border.Approximately 300 villagers from nearby villages received free medical check-ups, and free medicines were distributed to them as prescribed by doctors.
In addition, the jawans of Border Out Post Harudanga 117 Battalion distributed essential items to around 70 villagers from nearby villages. They also distributed sports items and stationery to the youth and children to raise awareness about sports.
The people of the area highly appreciated the camp and urged BSF to organize more such camps in the future.
The Public Relations Officer of South Bengal Frontier praised the noble work of BSF’s jawans, stating that such programs create a positive image of the force and promote a sense of security among citizens. He also stated that similar programs would be organized in the future in border areas.
