On March 1, 2023, the Border Security Force (BSF) organized two free medical camps for villagers living on the border. The camps were held at Kanaknagar Shrithidhar Sansthan and Border Out Post Pargumati, 118 Battalion, and provided medical checkups and free medicines to hundreds of villagers.
A team of five doctors from various medical institutes, including general physicians, orthopedists, cardiologists, eye specialists, and gynecologists, participated in the medical camp held at Kanaknagar Shrithidhar Sansthan. The doctors provided medical checkups to 400 villagers, and the jawans distributed medicines to them according to the doctor’s prescription.
Similarly, the medical camp organized by the jawans of Border Out Post Pargumati, 118 Battalion, provided medical checkups to 219 villagers. Dr. Swapan Kumar Mistri of Yogeshganj Hospital participated in the camp and advised the jawans to distribute medicines to the villagers based on his prescription.
The villagers appreciated the efforts of the BSF and urged them to organize more such camps in the future.
The Public Relations Officer of South Bengal Frontier praised the noble work of the BSF jawans, stating that such programs create a positive image of the force and instill a sense of security among citizens. He also confirmed that more such programs would be held in the future in the border areas.The BSF remains committed to serving the community and providing necessary support to the people living in the border areas.
