On March 02, 2023, from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs, troops of Border Out Post Sahebkhali, 118 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier organized a free medical camp in the Border area and got 214 villagers medically checked. Old men, women and children participated in this camp. After this, according to the doctor, the jawans distributed free medicines to the villagers.
Apart from this, troops of Border Outpost Maluapara, 54 Battalion organized a free medical camp for the villagers. Under this camp, doctors conducted medical examination of 238 people. After this, medicines were also distributed to them. People from nearby villages Maluapara, Hudapara and Simulia etc. reached the camp. Apart from this, during the civic action programme, the jawans distributed goods worth Rs 91,526/- to school children and villagers. Which included stationery, sports items, sewing machines and household items etc.
The people of the area lauded the Medical Camps and Civic Action Camps organized by the Battalions and urged BSF to organize more and more such camps in future.
Public Relation Officer of South Bengal Frontier praised this noble work of BSF jawans. He stated that such programs create a good image of the force and develop a sense of security among the citizens. He also stated that such programs will be organized in the future also in the Border areas.
