Basanta Utsav and Pre Celebration of International Women’s Day was organized by the Kaushalya Mahila Cluster Level Federation of BMMU Silchar under Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission.
The BDO Silchar along with the District Project Manager of ASRLM Cachar, Chairman of Silchar Development Authority, and other dignitaries were present as a special guests on the occasion.
Eminent persons in their speeches applauded women for such innovative efforts and talked about how women are leading the change. While taking to the Block Project Manager Devadatta Choudhury it is known that in the event they handed over few sanction letters of bank loan around rupees 10 lakhs to the women along with the Seed Capital Loan of Rs. 1.2 Lakhs under PMFME scheme.
The event was attended by four eminent women who have left a mark in the society through their good deeds. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, they were received and given appreciation letters.
The Deputy Commissioner of Cachar district attend in the function. In his speech, Cachar DC applauded the efforts of the women and encouraged them to do better in the future.
The program ended with a fun color game among the women, who painted each other in different colors.
