The Border Security Force (BSF) organized a free medical camp and a Nasha Mukti awareness campaign on March 4, 2023, for the residents of Pattharghata, Govindpur, Maliyapota, and surrounding villages. The medical camp was held at Border Out Post New Pattharghata, 82 Battalion, and was attended by 487 villagers.
The medical camp was conducted by a team of doctors, including Dr. Maneka Bharti, Dr. Kazi Moushumi Sultana, Dr. Archisman, Dr. Twinkle Nikhita, and Dr. Sahidul Mistry. The villagers were provided with medical check-ups, and free medicines worth Rs 2.57 lakh were distributed.The BSF also distributed sanitary pads and sanitary pad welding machines to girl students of a local school, and table-chairs were given to the students. These efforts were aimed at promoting health and hygiene in the border villages.
In addition to the medical camp, Border Out Post Rangiyapota, 82 Battalion, conducted a Nasha Mukti awareness campaign at Rangiyapota High School. The campaign was attended by 80 teachers and students who were distributed banners and posters with slogans related to Nasha Mukti.
The Commanding Officer of 82 Battalion stated that the BSF is always committed to supporting the residents of border areas. He further stated that the main objective of such events is to create awareness about health, cleanliness, and drug addiction among citizens living in border areas.
